Juveniles

Seals that are between one and three years old are called juveniles. They can weigh between 20 and 50 kg. Some may continue to suckle from cows, if the cows will let them. Most juveniles have to search out food for themselves. Juveniles gradually learn more and more about their environment; where the best places are to catch prey, how to catch different sorts of prey, and where to rest between trips. They are very curious and explore new things.
